More Indictments, Arrests of Doctors

• Dr. Evelyn Sabugo of northeast Philadelphia "was indicted on charges of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances and health care fraud. The indictment Tuesday said she issued 163 prescriptions for more than 3,000 pills to one couple over a two-year span. Sabugo was freed on $25,000 bond."
• June 26, 2007 -- WILKES-BARRE - A Luzerne County [Philadelphia] podiatrist [Dr. Lawrence Kansky] was arrested today for fraudulently obtaining prescription narcotics for his own personal use.
